I too am curious about the leap over the mud hole, but then the splash would have been awesome. The thing about mud is that you can always wash it off. When your kids are older, they will have some really fun memories. It is nice to see some free-range play happening.
Yes, we seem to really love mud around here! He did make it across without falling in, but he made sure to get smothered and covered in mud before we left
