Mother’s Day is just around the corner and all the adds for jewelry and clothing have been running rampant on the tv. I am not a jewelry, clothing, mani-pedi kind of girl. Sure, I like girly things and I like to be pampered as much as the next girl, but it got me thinking, What kind of gift do you get for an outdoorsy mom? For me, I’d rather shop at REI than Macy’s. So I spent some time pondering this thought and then did a little searching (hi hubby, wink, wink.) Take a look at what I came up with…
The Powerpukk Watered-powered Smartphone Charger is a great tool for those of us that like to take pictures with our iphone on the trail. This portable charger is powered by water and is the perfect accessory for the trail or campsite. A pretty cool and totally useful gadget!
ThePlatypus Wine Saver lets you pack and carry your favorite wine on the trail without fear of breaking bottles or compromising flavor. So go ahead, crack open that bottle and sip at your leisure.
The Trek and Travel Dry Pocket Soaps are packets of dry sheets of soap that are biodegradable and environmentally-friendly. They won’t leak in your bag or be confiscated by TSA These are some nice little packets to have on hand whether you are camping or traveling the world. Come on….even us tomboys like to be clean, yo!
And finally, but certainly not least, if you are anything like me then this is the gift you really want to recieve:
…a day on the trail surrounded by your family.
I’m hoping (and fairly certain) that this last one is going to be my gift this year. What about you? If you are a mom or you’re going to be with a mom this Mother’s Day, what kind of gifts do you think will make an appearance?
