On Sunday the weather was rainy, so we decided to spend most of the day trekking through a gorgeous cave.
The boys did awesome hiking and climbing over the tough terrain. We managed to get to the back part of the cave to find the hidden creek and cascading waterfalls. The boys were so excited! The picture below doesn’t do it justice, but it’s the best we could do with the limited amount of lighting we had.
After we finished exploring the cave, we hiked in the rain to a nearby waterfall. I don’t know what it is, but I love hiking in the rain! Weird, huh?

That’s a beautiful area. You got the bonus – a cave and a awesome waterfall! If you like chasing creeks and waterfalls then hiking in the rain is a prerequisite for the adventure. You guys look like you had fun. Stay safe out there and keep on exploring.
Thanks! It was one of the best outdoor excursions we’ve had in a while. Now I’m a bit soar….I guess that means it was good!
Looks like a fun place. What a great place for a wet day. Checking out caves is something I have never done, it is on the list.
Caves are so much fun! We are just now introducing our kids to caving and they are loving it
I hope you get the chance to do the same.
I am surprised to learn there are caves around here (BC, Canada). I am looking into it, maybe we can start checking out caves soon too:) Sure the bys would love it.
